After his witch guardian Mombi threatens to turn him into a statue, young Tip decides to run off to Emerald City with his newly-animated companion, Jack. Along the way, he meets up with Genral Jinjur, leader of the Army of Revolt, who takes Tip prisoner as she marches her troops to take over the Emerald City. Tip escapes to warn the scarecrow, now the ruler of the city, and together they leave to find the Tin Woodsman and form their own army.

Barry Mahon's Wonderful Grade-Z Oz!
Made by exploitation wunderkind Barry Mahon, this well-scrubbed Grade-Z fantasy has all the earmarks of Mahon's other stuff: cute young girls in miniskirts (borrowed from Mahon's adult films); spare, theatrical sets, lots of dull talking scenes, and some passable but silly music. It works better as a filmed stage play than as cinema, but as a bad kiddie film, it can't be beat. Mahon's son Channy is hilarious as a long-haired hippy-child mistaken for a princess(!), but the best character is Jack O'Lantern, a skinny guy wearing a huge grinning pumpkin head; he always looks like he's about to keel over. The funny trailer for this movie made two odd claims: "You'll be OZ-ified!" and "Never before shown anywhere!"
